In a MySA article by Katherine Stinson they take a look into another local restaurant being featured on Food Networks Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives hosted by Guy Fieri. Julia’s Bistro, located in the Blanco Rd shopping district, joins the list of destinations visited on the show.  

An article on ” New York Times names San Antonio taco as one of America’s best Dishes” by Polly Anna Rocha about Garcia’s Mexican Food’s placement on the NYT “23 best American dishes of 2023.” Among the 23 dishes was Garcia’s brisket taco. For over 60 years, Garcia’s Mexican Food has been serving some if San Antonio’s favorite Tex-Mex dishes and is now receiving national recognition for one of the restaurants staple dishes.

The Lemon Girls is the passion project of Maxine And Desiree Cofino, who have popped up the lemonade stand at various farmers markets for the last two years. Earlier this year, the couple was able to plant that project on San Antonio’s Westside in the form of a brick-and-mortar establishment.

San Antonio’s Beacon Hill neighborhood will soon be home to an East Coast-style sandwich shop. Wife-and-husband team Maray McChesney and Matt McGlaughlin plan to open Beacon Hill Market & Deli in the former home of White Dragon Chinese Food in the heart of the Blanco Road antiques district early next year.
