About Locosan Ceramics

Beacon Hill Neighborhood

I think “Locosan” (Jerry Lockey) is a good description for my “design and build” vision of ceramic art by molding, shaping, hand building and glazing with vintage glazes. My inspiration is my wife and muse Dara. My mind explores ways to tell a story through vessels and sculpture with color, shape, and texture that show contradictions and/or symmetry of the ideas and inspirations that I experience. My motto is the Japanese word “”Shouganai”” which means in a general sense “”go with the flow and move forward.”” I have my pieces at Mockingbird Handprints and was recently selected to be part of the Texas Landscape Exhibition hosted by the San Antonio Art League and Museum.
