Primarily a stone carver & sculptor, my creative interests are far-ranging, covering many mediums and styles to suit most needs to complete a particular project. My abstract stone sculptures have been described as water-like, flowing and liquid, or as if someone had scooped into the stone like ice cream. As a whole my work ranges from ribbon-like abstracts to classically inspired figures, bas-relief and whimsical characters; they draw the viewer in, whispering, inviting to come closer. My military illustrations, paintings and drawings are award winning, some in the permanent collection housed at The Pentagon. A retired Air Force senior NCO, now working as a Medical Illustrator in San Antonio, I have the honor of being the Chairperson for Forward, Arts! , an art immersion program created to service veterans living with PTSD. I’m also an active member of the Texas Sculpture Group, Texas Society of Sculptors, San Antonio Art League & Museum, and Air Force Art Program.
