Join us for our Artist Welcome Dinner on Thursday, January 30, to welcome our Spring 2025 International Artists-In-Residence: ⁠Laura Veles Drey (Houston, TX), Anita Fields (Stillwater, OK), and Lorena Molina (San Francisco, CA).

Curated by Jami Powell, Associate Director for Curatorial Affairs and Curator of Indigenous Art at Dartmouth College, the new cohort of artists will share short presentations with all dinner attendees starting at 6:30PM. Don’t miss this chance to hear about their careers, creative practices, and plans for their time during the residency.

While Liberty Bar will provide the main course for the evening, we ask all attendees to bring a dish to share with up to eight people. The dish does not have to be homemade—feel free to bring whatever you’d like to share with our incoming artists! This event is a special opportunity to enjoy a meal together, connect with fellow community members, and learn more about the newest cohort. Mikhail "Mischka" Timofeyev, the beloved owner and chef behind Web House Café and Bar, has passed away on January 22, 2025. Mischka’s sudden departure has left a void not only in the hearts of those who knew him personally but also in the Beacon Hill, Alta Vista, and the community at large, where his café became a beloved local favorite with Russian cultural dishes and a welcoming atmosphere. Mischka gave young DJs a platform to begin their music journey. Mischka also gave back to people in many ways, including hosting a community pantry and hosting many neighborhood functions. He was a pillar of the community that will be sorely missed. Although he is no longer with us, his influence will remain.
